Budster is an app for college students to find friends in a safe environment. I was inspired by my own struggles with socializing after leaving high school. In terms of UI design, it’s a blend of Bumble and Facebook that aims to gently incentivize interactions by rewarding users who use the chat feature instead of ghosting with decorations for their profile.
To make Budster feel like a welcoming place for young adults to spread their wings, Budster’s visual identity heavily invokes spring. No matter their struggles, they can find a fresh start here. (Icons in app are from Iconduck and Microsoft Emojis.)
